Alpha Centauri & Beyond is about science and science fiction.  Host, D. Wayne Dworsky and Co-Host, Melissa Macfie discuss issues that modern science faces as well as science fiction novel plots, themes and special effects in motion pictures.  Each show features a separate theme.  Guests on the show include science experts and science fiction writers.  The show will air biweekly at 8 pm ET.  Listeners are invited to call into the live show at 646-378-0539 to ask questions or make comments about the show's contents or theme.

Each show will feature a different theme, starting with Mars.  In addition to a fresh theme for each episode, we will discuss a pivital point.  These pivital points illuminate a particular scientific breakthough and/or launch a dynamic, new way of factoring science into science fiction literature and science fiction movies.  Plus, each pitival point will try to extract how some important science fiction phenomenon influenced science.
